Poor picture quality is usually a quick repair, not a whole new system. We repair, realign and install TV aerials and satellite dishes for Freeview, Freesat and Sky across Surrey, Kent and South London, with an honest diagnosis first and no pressure to replace what can be fixed. All work guaranteed, with same day service seven days a week.
Bad or intermittent reception usually comes down to one of a handful of causes: an aerial or dish knocked out of line by the wind, a corroded cable or connector, a failing amplifier, or an original installation that was never quite right. We find out which it is before recommending anything, and most faults are fixed the same day without replacing the whole system.
When a new installation is the right answer, we fit aerials and dishes built to last, aligned precisely to the right transmitter or satellite, and connected to every room that needs a picture. We’ve been doing this across Surrey, Kent and South London for more than 12 years.
Most “no signal” messages can be traced to one of these, and all of them are repairable:
We’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it costs to fix, and whether it’s worth doing, before any work begins.
Much of our area receives Freeview from the Crystal Palace transmitter or one of the local relay transmitters, but the hills and valleys of the North Downs make reception patchy in places. Homes tucked below the ridge, in wooded valleys or behind taller buildings can find their signal weaker than a street away.
That’s why we check the signal at your property before choosing an aerial, rather than fitting the same model everywhere. In a weak signal area, the right high-gain aerial, a taller mast or careful positioning often makes all the difference. Where Freeview reception simply isn’t reliable, Freesat through a satellite dish can be the better option, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.
You may have seen headlines about Freeview being switched off. The current position is that Freeview will stay on air until at least the end of 2034, while the government considers how TV should be delivered after that.
More viewing is moving online in the meantime: Sky Stream and Sky Glass work over broadband with no dish, and Freely delivers live Freeview channels over the internet.
There’s no need to rush into changes today. A working aerial or dish remains the most reliable way to watch live TV for years to come, and it’s still worth repairing.
If you’re thinking about moving to streaming, the important thing is a strong, stable connection to every TV, which is where our WiFi & Home Networks and Network & Data Cabling services come in.
In a block of flats, dozens of separate aerials and dishes on the roof and walls aren’t practical, and many leases and planning conditions don’t allow them. A communal TV system solves this by sharing one set of aerials and dishes across the whole building, delivering a signal to a wall plate in every flat. We design, install, repair and upgrade communal systems for managing agents, landlords, freeholders, residents’ associations and developers across Surrey, Kent and South London.
A MATV (master antenna television) system shares a single aerial across the building, giving every flat Freeview TV and radio. An IRS (integrated reception system) goes further, combining aerial and satellite signals so each flat can choose Freeview, Freesat or Sky from the same wall plate. We’ll recommend the right system based on the number of flats, the layout of the building and what residents are likely to want.
For developers and contractors, we design communal systems early and work alongside your build programme, running cabling at first fix and commissioning every outlet before handover. Each outlet is tested and signal levels are recorded, so you have clear documentation when the building is signed off.
When one flat loses its picture, the fault could be inside that flat, in a riser or in the shared equipment. We trace problems methodically from the head-end equipment down to individual outlets and fix the cause rather than the symptom, keeping disruption to residents to a minimum.
Many communal systems were installed before today’s TV services existed. Older systems may not support newer boxes such as Sky Q, and ageing amplifiers can struggle after changes to Freeview frequencies. We can often upgrade the head-end equipment and reuse the existing cabling, which is far less disruptive and costly than a full replacement.

Most jobs booked and completed the same day.
Not necessarily. Most intermittent faults come down to a loose or corroded connection, wind-shifted alignment or a failing part, all of which are usually repairable without a full replacement.
Not any time soon. Freeview is set to stay on air until at least the end of 2034, while the government decides how TV will be delivered after that, so a working aerial is still worth repairing.
Yes. We realign dishes with professional signal meters and replace a faulty LNB or bracket if the storm has damaged it.
Yes, and we can set up multi-room distribution so different rooms can access different systems from one aerial and one dish.
Small differences in position, height and aerial type can have a big effect, especially in hilly or wooded areas. An aerial that's ageing, misaligned or the wrong type for the area is the usual cause, and we'll check the signal at your property to find out.
Yes, we install dishes and motorised systems for households wanting channels from other countries and in other languages.
Same day service is available seven days a week for most repairs.
No, there's no charge for the initial visit, whatever the job involves.
Yes. If a system has reached the end of its useful life, we'll say so rather than repair something that will fail again soon after.
With an IRS, yes. Each flat can use Freeview, Freesat or Sky independently from the same wall plate. A MATV system provides Freeview only.
Many older communal systems weren't designed for Sky Q, which needs compatible distribution equipment. This can usually be solved by upgrading the shared equipment in the building rather than rewiring every flat.
It depends on the lease, but the managing agent, landlord or freeholder is usually responsible for the shared equipment, while residents look after anything inside their own flat. We're happy to work with whoever manages the building and can help pinpoint where the fault lies.
